On August 12th, we're joined by none other than Steve Schneider, who grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. And while he almost needs to introduction, for those who don’t know…

After 9/11, Steve enlisted in the US Marines, but a brain injury brought his military career to an early end. Looking for a new direction, he found bartending - first in New Jersey, then at Employees Only, where he worked his way from apprentice to co-owner, relocating to Singapore to open the bar's Asia outpost.

In 2024, having returned to US soil, Steve partnered with Shingo Gokan to open Sip & Guzzle, named No. 1 in North America's 50 Best Bars 2026. Today, he's also a partner at Employees Only Singapore, The Odd Couple in Shanghai, and The Elysian Café in Hoboken.

And that’s the short version.
